Boracay welcomes 1,500 Chinese tourists aboard luxury cruise ship

ILOILO CITY — Around 1,500 Chinese tourists and nearly 800 crew members arrived in Boracay on Saturday morning aboard the luxury cruise ship MS Adora Mediterranea, marking its maiden call to the island, according to a news release from the Malay-Boracay Tourism Office. The vessel, which came from Xiamen, China, dropped anchor at about 8 a.m. and departed at 8 p.m. the same day, allowing passengers a full-day visit to the world-renowned destination.
