"Emergency services responded to more than 10 impact sites across the Tel Aviv area and surrounding cities on Saturday, after a reported Iranian cluster munitions attack saw missile fragments rain down on central Israel. Footage from Ramat Gan and Petah Tikva shows multiple vehicles damaged or destroyed, with residential buildings also sustaining significant damage. No injuries were immediately reported. "We were in the safe room and felt a massive explosion. We were sure it was close, and then we came here and saw these sights - basically, these horrors," said Shiran Zvulun, a Ramat Gan resident. Another resident, Gabriel Yuzifovich, said he heard a loud blast while sheltering and later discovered burning vehicles outside. "I saw that one of the vehicles here was on fire and had actually fallen right in front of my car. I quickly got into my car and moved it - luckily nothing happened to it," he said. In nearby Petah Tikva, residents reported similar scenes of destruction following the attack. "We suddenly heard a very loud boom. I immediately felt it was right near us. [...] Then we saw all the shutters in the house lying on the floor. Outside, my car was destroyed, and everything around here was total chaos," Ofer Tzuri recounted. Local authorities said emergency teams responded quickly, evacuating residents and securing damaged structures. "The mayor arrived, all emergency forces came to the scene, and we provided a quick response to the residents," shared Ilan Dahan, Head of Municipal Supervision of Petah Tikva. Residents described widespread panic following the explosion, with some forced to seek shelter in neighbouring buildings. "The noise was enormous, and everyone was definitely frightened - about 30 people were in that shelter. It was very, very unpleasant, even scary," added Rafi Ben Sira, another resident. Tensions escalated in the Middle East after the United States and Israel launched a joint military operation against Iran on February 28, amid diplomatic talks aimed at curbing Iran's nuclear and missile programmes. Tehran responded with retaliatory strikes on Israeli and US assets in the region, with reports of explosions in several Gulf countries. Iran later confirmed the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, with his son Mojtaba Khamenei named as his successor."
