While many of us are addicted to programmes like Home of the Year (HOTY) , very few of us would dream of considering our own pads worthy of being assessed as one of the 21 finalists each year, and Finbarr Collins certainly did not have any such notions when he cheekily attracted the attention of the programme makers by tagging them in an Instagram post; at the time he was half way into his home-gutting/renovation.
