"Ambulances rushed people to Al Najda Hospital in Nabatieh on Saturday after reported Israeli strikes targeted areas near the village of Haboush in southern Lebanon. Footage shows ambulances arriving at the hospital, where medics carried a dead body and injured man inside. A toddler could also be seen receiving checks from doctors. According to Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA), ‘the hostile airstrike targeted a house on the Haboush-Kfour road, leaving two martyrs and five injured.’ The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that “since March 2, 1,422 people were killed and 4,294 injured in Israeli aggression on the country." The Israeli military has not commented regarding strikes on Nabatieh today, though evacuation orders were issued for areas south of the Zahrani River last month, warning that its forces would operate ‘with great force’ in the area, urging residents to leave and head north. Tensions escalated in the Middle East after the United States and Israel launched a joint military operation on Iran on February 28, when diplomatic talks were taking place aimed at ‘undermining Iran's nuclear and missile programs". Tehran then announced retaliatory strikes on Israel and the US assets in the region. Explosions were reported in different Gulf countries. Later, Iran confirmed the killing of the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, and his son, Mujtaba Khamenei, was selected as his successor. The conflict spilt over into Lebanon as Hezbollah intervened 'in revenge' for the assassination of the Iranian Supreme Leader. The shipment routes, including the Strait of Hormuz, were disrupted following the closure of the Strait."
