Even with Iran’s assurance last week of safe passage for Philippine-bound oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz, industry sources said local diesel prices are still expected to surge to as high as P170 per liter this week. An industry source said the per-liter price of diesel could climb anew by P17 to P19 today, while gasoline could range from P3 to P5 per liter.
