World : FAO Chief Economist Warns Of Deepening Global Food Risks Amid West Asia Tensions

ROME, April 6 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- The ongoing conflict in West Asia could heighten risks to global food security, particularly for countries heavily dependent on imported food, fertiliser and fuel, Maximo Torero, chief economist of the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO), has said.
