Supreme Court seeks response from Centre, others on plea to prevent cattle intrusion on highways

The Supreme Court has asked the Centre and states for their views on a plea to keep stray cattle off national and state highways. The court seeks uniform national guidelines to prevent cattle on roads. The plea also calls for highway fencing, managed cattle shelters, and penalties for abandoning cattle. A no-fault compensation system for accident victims is also requested.
