Missile strike: PM voices concern over injuries to Pakistanis in UAE

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday voiced concern after debris from an intercepted projectile caused injuries to four individuals, including three Pakistanis, at a port in the United Arab Emirates, calling for de-escalation amid rising tensions in the Middle East. Reports confirmed that three Pakistani nationals sustained minor to moderate injuries when debris fell at Khorfakkan Port on Sunday, following the interception of the projectile by UAE air defence systems. Taking to X, the prime minister expressed deep concern over the incident and extended prayers for the swift recovery of the injured. He added that Pakistan remained in close contact with UAE authorities to provide all necessary support to its citizens. “Pakistan stands in solidarity with the brotherly people of the UAE and reiterates the urgent need for restraint and de-escalation in the region,” he said.
