BACOLOD CITY—Mayor Salvador Escalante Jr. of Cadiz City confirmed that local health officials are closely monitoring residents after around 15 people there suffered allergic reactions from consuming “aloy,” also known as “tulingan, on Monday. Ten patients were treated for allergic reactions at the city’s emergency clinic, while four individuals with pre-existing conditions, including asthma, were admitted to Cadiz District Hospital for observation.
