Ilocos Norte inmates profit from composting project

LAOAG CITY — Inmates at the Ilocos Norte Provincial Jail (INPJ) get a chance to earn extra by making compost bins for distribution to households in the province. One of the provincial government’s flagship programs, the household composting project has gained momentum in urban communities. The initiative is done with the help of Technical Education and Skills Development Authority-trained inmates who are making 400 compost bins.
