TAIPEI — The leader of Taiwan’s largest opposition party is in China for the first time in 10 years. Kuomintang (KMT) chairwoman Cheng Li-wun sees her visit as laying the foundation for “peace and stability” with Beijing, which claims Taiwan is part of its territory and threatens to use force to annex it.
