The beauty pageant season in the country is definitely in full swing as one of the country's longest running pageants recently sashed this year's competitors. The Binibining Pilipinas organization recently held its sashing ceremony at the Novotel Manila Araneta City, sashing its 36 finalists vying to be the successor to current reigning Binibining Pilipinas International Katrina Anne Johnson . It was an exciting time for the 36 queens, which include Georgette Nicole Restrivera Coronacion and Trisha Irish Marie Nadal Rosales, who represent Carmona, Cavite and General Trias, Cavite, respectively. Georgette and Trisha are just two of the six queens from Cavite competing in the pageant this year, and both of them are excited about the fact. “It's not every edition that they have this many Caviteñas. I think we bring a different flavor based from which city or municipality we're from in Cavite, just really proud moment here,” Trisha shared. With four other Cavite queens competing, the six of them are bound to compete with one another. But Georgette insists that sisterhood is still first and foremost what the six of them share. “Being in Binibining Pilipinas kasi, it's more about sisterhood. Rather than being competitors, more than that, we gain sisters,” she explained. “But of course, sa stage, kailangan naming i-bring 'yung spice namin, 'yung angst namin, but behind the scenes, it's always going to be sisterhood.
