SINGAPORE – A new surgical procedure has been shown to improve the behavioral and psychological symptoms associated with mild to moderate Alzheimer’s disease – a neurodegenerative disease that progressively affects cognitive function. In 2025, Changi General Hospital (CGH) began trialling what is known as the cervical lymphatico-venous bypass for Alzheimer’s disease (CLyVeB-AD-1). The procedure repurposes lymphatic bypass surgery.
