Gardai confirm officers were in Spain as key associate of Gerry 'The Monk' Hutch arrested

The man, who is in his 30s, was arrested on the Canary islands on Wednesday as part of a long running probe into fears the Hutch crime gang was given sensitive Garda information. He is expected to appear in court in Lanzarote on Thursday morning.
