MANILA, Philippines — In celebration of the Araw ng Kagitingan, SSS-GSIS Pensyonado Party-list Rep. Rolando Macasaet is again pushing for the immediate passage of House Bill (HB) 8379, granting additional benefits such as discounts to active and retired members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP). House Bill 8379 aims to grant a 20 percent discount and value-added tax (VAT) exemption on essential goods and services to qualified AFP and PNP personnel.
