MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Sara Duterte has warned against some individuals who are impersonating her using the Signal messaging app to engage in fraudulent activities. The Office of the Vice President on Thursday released photo screenshots of a message exchange purportedly coming from an "Inday Duterte" asking for a contact for a certain "Cong[ressman] Alvarez." The contact was also asking the number of congressmen who are willing to support and help her. In a statement, Duterte urged those who received suspicious messages, especially from those who claim to be her, to not engage and provide personal information. "Most importantly, do not send money. I never ask for any favors—financial or otherwise—from the public," Duterte said. She called on people to be more cautious against those who are "exploitative, deceptive, and out to take advantage of others, especially during the crisis we are currently facing,"
