Man dies on Malone Rd in Lower Hutt, police cordon off street

Part of Malone Rd in Wellington’s Lower Hutt has been cordoned off after a man died outside a home. Police have confirmed the man died, in what has been described as a “sudden death”. “At 8.15am, a report was received of a man being located on the ground outside an address,” police said. “The immediate area has been cordoned off as inquiries are undertaken.” Further information would be provided as it became available. Stuff has reported that armed police are at the scene, where a forensic tent has been set up.
