LUCENA CITY, Quezon — Some 2,113 tricycle drivers in this city received P5,000 each in financial assistance from the national government on Wednesday, amid continuing fuel price hikes. The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) distributed the aid at the New Evacuation Center in Barangay Mayao Crossing, the city’s Public Information Office (PIO) said Thursday. “The financial assistance amounts to P5,000 per beneficiary, provided by the national government in response to the continuing increase in fuel prices,” the PIO said.
