MANILA, Philippines – Two Japanese fugitives linked to a transnational telecom fraud syndicate were arrested in a joint Philippine National Police (PNP) and Bureau of Immigration (BI) operation in Batangas on Wednesday evening. The arrests were based on BI deportation orders, arrest warrants for fraud issued by Japan’s Omiya Summary Court, and a Target Intelligence Packet dated April 7, 2026.
