One of the best bars in the world is coming to Toronto but there's a catch

People in Toronto will soon be able to sip world-class creations from one of the best bars on the globe, but it won't stick around forever. Toronto, as any self-respecting cocktail fanatic knows, is home to some seriously impressive bars and the mixologists that keep their patrons hydrated. Bar Pompette, for example, ranked 55th on the bottom half of the World's 50 Best Bars list in 2025 . For their part, other local watering holes like Library Bar , Civil Works , Cry Baby Gallery , Simpl Things and Slice of Life have also ranked among the best in North America , but we still have yet to break into the upper echelon — the true (or true according to 50 Best) creme de la creme. To experience those bars, Toronto residents are left with two choices: book a flight, or wait for them to come to us. Lucky for anyone hoping to save on airfare, one such bar is coming to Toronto next week. Lady Bee is one of Lima, Peru's two entries on the World's 50 Best Bars list, ranking 13th on the World's 50 Best Bars list in 2025, and, next week, co-founder Alejandra León will bring her mixology magic to 1 Hotel 's Casa Madera . View this post on Instagram A post shared by Lady Bee (@ladybee.lima) Here's the catch: she'll only be behind the bar for one night. The bar's first appearance in Toronto, León has collaborated with Casa Madera Executive Chef Daniele Pisanu to create a special Peruvian-inspired prix fixe dinner menu, designed to complement an optional suite of Lady Bee cocktail pairings. The menu includes elegant interpretations of Peruvian staples, like beef heart skewers, ceviche and cous cous with uni, all painstakingly crafted to elevate the star of the show: Lady Bee's cocktails. The intimate dinner takes place from 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14, with tickets for the four-course dinner priced at $120. If you want to opt for cocktail pairings — and, really, isn't that what it's all about? — it'll set you back an additional $80. Tickets to the Casa Madera and Lady Bee collaboration are currently available online.
