PM Shehbaz, Field Marshal Munir discuss efforts for peace talks between US, Iran

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chairman Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir called on Thursday on Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, at the Prime Minister’s Office, according to a press release. During the meeting, the two leaders reviewed the progress of Pakistan’s mediatory efforts in achieving sustainable peace within the region, the Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement. Both expressed satisfaction over the successful de-escalation measures implemented so far and underscored the importance of maintaining peace and ensuring ceasefire among all parties involved. He also reiterated his invitation to the delegations arriving for further dialogue and assured them of Pakistan’s unwavering support and highest regard.
