MANILA, Philippines — Tropical storm “Sinlaku” has intensified outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) while a ridge of high pressure area (HPA) continues to bring hot and humid weather across the country on Friday, the state weather bureau said. According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), the storm was last located 2,725 kilometers east of northeastern Mindanao, packing maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 80 kph, as it moves westward at 10 kph.
