KARACHI: President of the Pakistan Business Forum (Sindh Region), Convener of the FPCCI Energy Standing Committee and senior leader of PPDA, Malik Khuda Bakhsh has stated that as a result of the ceasefire, if sanctions imposed on Iran are lifted, Pakistan will gain significant economic benefits. The country will have the opportunity to import cheaper industrial raw materials from Iran, which will strengthen domestic industry. Similarly, energy needs can be met through a gas pipeline from Iran. He said that for playing an outstanding role in halting the US-Iran war and promoting peace, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir are receiving immense appreciation from the Pakistani nation and the entire world, which is a matter of pride for Pakistanis. He added that by becoming a proponent of peace, Pakistan has saved the world from a third world war, and, God willing, a lasting ceasefire will soon be achieved, leading to improvement in global conditions. Malik Khuda Bakhsh further stated that due to the efforts of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir, a ceasefire has been achieved in the Middle East. Global confidence in Pakistan has been restored, and the country is now considered a safe and attractive destination for investment. He urged that investments that have moved to the Middle East, including Dubai, should be brought back to Pakistan. He emphasized that the tireless efforts of the Prime Minister and the Field Marshal in reducing regional tensions caused by the US-Iran conflict and achieving a ceasefire have contributed to global peace and enhanced Pakistan’s standing in international diplomacy, which is highly commendable. Malik Khuda Bakhsh added that Pakistan has always played a key role in promoting peace, stability, and dialogue, and recent diplomatic developments are clear evidence of this. By helping reduce regional tensions and preventing a potential nuclear conflict before the US-Iran ceasefire, Pakistan has helped save millions of lives, which has also positively impacted the economy. He noted that global petroleum and energy prices are already showing signs of decline, which is a positive indicator for the economy. The reduction in regional tensions will not only promote global peace but will also have positive effects on economies, trade, and industrial activities worldwide, including in Pakistan. Chairman of the Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan (ECAP), Malik Muhammad Bostan, praised Pakistan’s outstanding diplomatic strategy for stopping the US-Iran war and paid rich tribute to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir. He stated that the ceasefire between the United States and Iran was made possible due to the extraordinary diplomatic efforts of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, successfully averting a major global crisis. He expressed hope that the US-Iran ceasefire would prove to be a meaningful step towards global stability. He said Pakistan has saved the world from a third world war, as the situation was moving towards a broader Middle East conflict, but the efforts of the Prime Minister and the Field Marshal resulted in a ceasefire. Undoubtedly, this is a bright moment in the country’s history, with Pakistan being positively recognized worldwide. He further stated that the leadership of Iran and the United States, along with China, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Turkey, Indonesia, Egypt, Azerbaijan, and the United Arab Emirates, fully supported Pakistan’s peace efforts. He added that if an agreement is finalized in Islamabad, Pakistan should at least proceed with the Iran gas pipeline project at this stage. Malik Muhammad Bostan emphasized that efforts to find a path toward lasting peace are extremely necessary and that a solution must be achieved in future negotiations. He noted that lasting peace is not limited to a ceasefire between Iran and the United States but is also linked to broader regional issues from Lebanon to Gaza. He said Pakistan’s remarkable diplomatic strategy in halting the US-Iran conflict has earned global admiration for Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir. Malik Muhammad Bostan added that despite the temporary ceasefire, violations by Israel are affecting the spirit of the peace process. He concluded that Pakistan has played its role with responsibility and dignity, and the respect and honour it has received is a blessing from Almighty — one that comes only once in centuries. Faisal Moiz Khan, President North Karachi Association of Trade & Industry (NKATI), has praised Pakistan’s leadership for its decisive role in brokering the ceasefire between the United States and Iran, calling it an unforgettable achievement that saved the world from devastation. He added that Pakistan’s contribution to the ceasefire reflects the country’s identity not only as a nuclear power but also as a responsible nation committed to global peace. “This diplomatic success has elevated Pakistan’s prestige internationally, and the trust earned today will be remembered with pride by future generations,” Khan noted.
