Naqvi assures US envoy of ‘watertight security’

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Thursday assured US Ambassador Natalie Baker of watertight security arrangements for all foreign dignitaries arriving in the federal capital to attend the upcoming US-Iran talks scheduled for today (Friday). During a meeting with US Ambassador, the interior minister said a comprehensive and effective security plan had been finalised to ensure the safety of all delegates. According to an official statement shared on the Ministry of Interior’s X account, both sides discussed in detail the arrangements for the high-level talks in Islamabad. The US Vice President JD Vance, US Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff, and Jared Kushner were our special guests, the minister was quoted as saying. The US envoy appreciated Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts and its role in facilitating dialogue at a critical time.
