Notice issued to DC in response to contempt plea

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Thursday issued notice to the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Lahore in a contempt petition of a citizen, Tanvir Ahmed. The petitioner through his counsel contended that he had established a hotel at first floor of his house. He said the DC Lahore sealed his house during a raid against activists of a banned organization. He said the court had directed the respondent DC to decide the petitioner’s presentation within 10 days. The respondent DC, however, failed to obey the court order and exposed himself for contempt of court proceedings. Copyright Business Recorder, 2026
