According to local media, both delegations reviewed the current cooperation roadmap and explored new areas to promote a 'fruitful' trade exchange. They highlighted Venezuela's role in solidarity initiatives with the Caribbean and agreed to promote strategic alliances and mutual support in multilateral forums to foster international balance. The high officials reaffirmed the ties of respect and trust between both nations, which have maintained diplomatic relations since 1977. The meeting follows Mitchell's visit to Venezuela on April 29, 2025, when both governments agreed to strengthen bilateral economic cooperation over the next two years."
