"Brazilian aerospace company Embraer presented two military aircraft at the International Air and Space Fair 2026 (FIDAE) in Santiago, highlighting its growing presence across more than 60 countries. Footage filmed on Wednesday shows the KC-390 Millennium military transport aircraft and the A-29 Super Tucano combat aircraft being exhibited during the fair. Alfredo Roberto Junior, Director of Defence and Security Business Development at Embraer, stated that the company has a presence in dozens of countries and participates in various strategic projects, including in commercial and executive aviation. "Embraer positions Brazil as a very relevant actor in the global aerospace and defence sector. Today we develop not only solutions for aircraft, but also cutting-edge technology, involving radars, integrated systems and today we can say that Embraer already reaches more than 60 countries in the world," he indicated on Thursday. He added that the Brazilian company is "a key pillar for Brazilian defence sovereignty," and underscored the projects it has developed in that field. "We are involved in many strategic projects, such as the Sisfron project and the Tamandare frigates. Always seeking to ensure technological autonomy, ensure the highest level of operability and support the local industry, fundamental axes to achieve what we have in Brazil, a high technological level of the defence industry," he remarked. Roberto Junior also stressed that more than a dozen countries use the Brazilian company's innovations, praising its aircraft, which "carry the name of Brazil to the highest levels in the world." "The KC-390 90 has been selected by 11 Air Forces around the world, and we already have more than 50 aircraft sold and selected. And of these 11 Air Forces, we already have seven that belong to NATO. As examples, we have the Portuguese Air Force, the Netherlands Air Force and the Hungarian Air Force," he shared. With its participation in FIDAE, Brazil positions itself as a Latin American benchmark in the aerospace industry, in the main defence and aviation stage of the region. The biennial air show is held from April 7 to 12 at the Pudahuel Air Base in Chile."
