The government is ramping up efforts to deploy agentic artificial intelligence (AI) across operations, as it accelerates its push towards AI-driven administration. The Ministry of Science and ICT recently launched a new project, AI-NEXT, to implement agentic AI across its entire administrative workflow. Earlier this month, it launched a bid process for strategy planning to establish the project's detailed framework, with the goal of introducing specialized AI agents across five administrative work areas by the end of this year. The five areas include support for radio frequency licensing reviews, electromagnetic certification assessments, budget analysis, classification and response to National Assembly requests, and news summarization and analysis. Building on these initial deployments, the ministry aims to upgrade its document management infrastructure into an AI-driven system by 2028.
