Beachside backlash - Large Tel Aviv coastal mural slams 'BB', Iran war as 'total failure'

"A large coastal mural was seen on Tel Aviv's beach in protest against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday. Drone footage shows the protest mural on the beach depicting a one-armed bandit featuring nuclear and rocket designs, with 'BB' in the centre slot, flanked by a nuclear sign and a rocket, and dubbed 'Total Failure'. It comes after Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid sharply criticised Netanyahu on Tuesday over the Iran war, claiming that Tel Aviv had no influence on the ceasefire deal between the US and Iran and calling the outcome a 'total failure'. The US and Iran agreed a two-week ceasefire this week, with talks set for Islamabad in the coming days. Donald Trump insisted that the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz had to happen first. On Thursday, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Saeed Khatibzadeh said: "the Strait of Hormuz is open. Of course, there are technical restrictions, because of the war zone and because of many arrangements that Iran did during the war, during this aggression against Iran." Tensions escalated after the United States and Israel launched joint military operations against Iran on February 28 during talks aimed at 'limiting Iran’s nuclear and missile programs.' Tehran responded with strikes targeting Israeli and US assets across the region. Iran later confirmed the killing of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who was succeeded by his son Mojtaba Khamenei."
