Rumours about Google’s Pixel 11 line are starting to ramp up and the latest suggests that the phones will get an upgraded display ahead of the iPhone 18. It’s well known that many phone makers use Samsung Display panels in their devices and the Pixel 11 will reportedly get the firm’s new flagship M16 OLED screen, according to ETNews . With the Pixel 11 set to launch in August, this means it will beat Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro phones to the punch, as well as Samsung Mobile’s own Galaxy phones. The M16 panel, according to industry sources, will bring the best performance in terms of brightness, colour, lifespan and power efficiency. Luke Baker For context, the Galaxy S26 range uses the M14 OLED panel and Samsung isn’t expected to jump to M16 until the Galaxy S27 range next year. The next range of Galaxy flagships will reportedly use cheaper M13 stock panels. This includes the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide and Galaxy Z Flip 8 , all set to be announced in July. It looks like the Pixel 11 phones might be the first to market with this top OLED display, with the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max phones, along with the iPhone Ultra (Fold) , set to land in September. Other rumours surrounding the Pixel 11 suggest that when the phones arrive this summer, they will get a new Tensor G6 processor, Face ID-level biometric scanning and a very similar design to the Pixel 10 series. CAD-based renders appear to show that the Pro models will lose the temperature sensor .
