Fisherman dies while going on electrofishing in Leyte

TACLOBAN CITY — A 34-year-old fisherman has been found dead late Friday night, April 10, in Barangay Casuntingan, Macarthur in Leyte, in what authorities suspect is a case of accidental electrocution. Initial investigation revealed that at around 7 a.m. that day, the victim, only identified as “Leo,” went to Valerie River in Brgy. Casuntingan to fish using an electrofishing equipment. When he failed to return home by evening, his wife and relatives initiated a search.
