MANILA, Philippines — Most of the individuals apprehended under the “Safer Cities” program of the Philippine National Police (PNP) were released after being given warnings. This information came from the PNP. Of 9,810 individuals recorded violating local ordinances across Metro Manila on April 10, a total of 4,011 were fined, 91 were charged, while 5,708 were warned and then, released. The same pattern was observed in the previous days, where the majority of apprehended individuals were released after being warned.
