Huge blaze destroys Kimberly-Clark toilet paper warehouse in California

ONTARIO, Untied States — A massive overnight fire tore through a Kimberly-Clark toilet paper warehouse early on Tuesday (April 7) morning in Ontario, California. Footage from authorities showed the fire engulfing the whole warehouse compound. Satellite captures from Planet Labs over Monday (April 6) to Wednesday (April 8) showed the extent of the destruction. Reuters was able to confirm the location from buildings, roadmap layout, fence, and water body which matched with file and satellite images. The date was verified by government statements and satellite images showing the warehouse before and after the fire. KABC reported the warehouse was destroyed, with multiple firefighting vehicles remaining on scene as crews worked to contain hot spots. No injuries were immediately reported. Local media reported a 29‑year‑old employee was arrested on suspicion of arson in connection with the fire, later identified as Chamel Abdulkarim, by the Ontario Police Department.
