"Footage captured on Saturday night shows the venue of the ongoing US-Iran talks at the Serena Hotel in Islamabad. The video also features the Pakistani Ministry of Interior building, with a sign reading 'Islamabad Talks 2026'. Iranian media reported earlier on Saturday that 'a source close to the negotiation team’ expects the talks to continue ‘tonight or tomorrow,' adding that “expert teams from the parties are currently exchanging written texts.” Earlier in the day, before the talks kicked off, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held separate bilateral meetings with the Iranian delegation, headed by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, as well as the US delegation, led by Vice President J.D. Vance. Sharif reportedly commended the commitment of both delegations to ‘constructive engagement', expressing his hope that these talks would serve as an initial step toward lasting peace in the region. He also reiterated "Pakistan's aspiration to continue its role in facilitating the parties' efforts toward sustainable peace in the region," according to a statement released by the Prime Minister's Office. The Iranian delegation comprises Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf and Foreign Minister Araghchi. The U.S. delegation is headed by Vice President JD Vance and includes presidential son-in-law Jared Kushner and special envoy Steve Witkoff. The United States and Iran have reached a conditional two-week ceasefire agreement, ahead of a deadline set by U.S. President Donald Trump for a broader understanding that includes the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that Iran's armed forces would halt 'defensive operations' if attacks on Iran stop. "
