LAPU-LAPU CITY, Cebu — A Filipina who was killed in a missile attack in Haifa, Israel, had previously lived and worked in Lapu-Lapu City, local officials confirmed. Lucille Jean Olasiman-Gershovich, 29, was among those killed during the Iranian missile strike on April 5, 2026, marking the second reported Filipino fatality amid the ongoing Middle East conflict. She was a native of Kolambugan, Lanao del Norte, and had moved to Cebu earlier in her life to stay with relatives and seek employment.
