'Big, beautiful tankers!' - Trump on capturing business from Gulf as idle oil, gas carriers head to ship US hydrocarbons

"US President Donald Trump on Saturday reiterated that America 'wins' regardless of the outcome of talks with Iran in Islamabad, with oil and gas tankers idle over the closure of the Hormuz Strait now heading to stock up on US hydrocarbons for shipping to global markets. "Getting a lot of reports. They've been meeting for many hours," he told press. "Maybe they make a deal. Maybe they don't. Doesn't matter. From the standpoint of America, we win." "One of the things that's happening is that boats are sailing up and heading out to our country. Big, beautiful tankers. And we're loading them up with oil and gas and everything else. And it's a pretty beautiful thing to see," he noted, in relation to the empty oil and gas carriers that have reportedly travelled to the US to fill up on US energy resources for shipments to global markets, idle due to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. This comes after reports from CENTCOM that two US destroyers had transited the strait, a claim denied by Iran. At the same time, diplomatic efforts are continuing behind the scenes. US and Iranian delegations are currently meeting in Islamabad, following a two-week ceasefire agreement reached earlier this week. The US delegation is led by Vice President J.D. Vance and includes special envoy Steve Witkoff and businessman Jared Kushner. The Iranian side includes Parliament Speaker Mohammad Qalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi."
