'Don't trust Trump, don't trust Israel' - Hundreds rally in The Hague against strikes on Iran and Lebanon

"Hundreds of protesters marched outside the old US Embassy in The Hague on Saturday, rallying against the joint US-Israel military operation on Iran and Israel's ongoing strikes on Lebanon. Footage shows demonstrators chanting, holding Iranian, Lebanese and Palestinian flags and banners and placards reading, 'America commits crimes and Europe stands by in support! Shame on Trump and all those who remain silent!' and 'No war on children, murdered by the US & Israel'. "I can say that Israel is completely out of the equation. Iran doesn't see Israel as an official state, so it will never also recognise it or sit on a table with it because it is an apartheid regime. And I think Iran will definitely defend Lebanon as there is a human duty, a moral duty, and an Islamic duty,” said Erol, a protest organiser of the protest. "Iran will use every leverage that they have, even the Strait of Hormuz, which they have used this time to show the world that even in the forty years that it was completely sanctioned, it never, never fell back to using this card against the global economy," he continued. Another protester, Laleh Almarjani, warned against trusting the United States or any negotiations, claiming, "They are evil themselves. Don’t trust Trump, don’t trust Israel." The rally came as Iran and US delegations met in Islamabad for peace talks brokered by Pakistan, with Vice President JD Vance leading the American side and Parliament Speaker Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi representing Iran. The talks ended without a deal after 21 hours, with Vance saying the US had left its 'final and best offer' on the table, which the Iranians 'have chosen not to accept'. On Wednesday, the United States and Iran announced a conditional two-week ceasefire, subject to the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, ahead of a deadline set by President Donald Trump. Araghchi declared Iran's armed forces would halt 'defensive operations' if attacks on the country ceased."
