BOC seizes ₱705M fake perfumes, cosmetics in Valenzuela raid

MANILA, Philippines —The Bureau of Customs (BOC) uncovered a massive haul of counterfeit luxury perfumes and cosmetic products worth ₱705 million in a Valenzuela City raid, marking one of the agency’s biggest anti-counterfeiting operations this year. Customs Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno said intelligence information triggered the operation, which led to a warehouse used as a storage hub for fake, unregulated goods. Acting on the intelligence report, operatives from the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service monitored the facility, which housed a large stock of counterfeit perfumes and cosmetic items, prompting swift enforcement action. On April 10, 2026, Nepomuceno signed a Letter of Authority, allowing operatives to move in without delay. A joint team from the CIIS and the Enforcement and Security Service, supported by the Philippine Coast Guard and the Philippine National Police’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, carried out the raid. Inside the warehouse, authorities found stacks of fake products imitating some of the world’s most recognized brands, including Dior, Chanel, Gucci, Versace, Prada, Yves Saint Laurent, Calvin Klein, Bulgari, Giorgio Armani, Lacoste, Ralph Lauren, Paco Rabanne, Issey Miyake, Jo Malone, Davidoff, Lanvin Éclat, and Victoria’s Secret.
