DOE: Latest diesel cargo sourced via Singapore trader

MANILA, Philippines — Energy Secretary Sharon Garin confirmed that the 329,000 barrels (52.311 million liters) of diesel arrived in the country on April 11, despite the denial of Petronas, Malaysia’s national oil and gas company, that it had such an arrangement with the Philippines. In a message to Inquirer on Sunday, Garin said the diesel shipments were purchased through Vitol Asia Pte. Ltd., a Singapore-based energy and commodity trading company, which sourced the finished fuel product from Malaysia.
