Rust and nostalgia - Unique Vietnamese cafe turns vintage vehicles into viral attraction

"A Vietnamese cafe has gone viral for turning vintage vehicles into a striking design statement, furnishing its space with old cars and buses to create a one-of-a-kind atmosphere that blends nostalgia with mechanical charm. Footage shows visitors photographing battered vehicles as they strolled around the TNT Zone Cafe's grounds in Ho Chi Minh City. Meanwhile, others enjoyed an eccentric meal inside the refurbished interior of one of the buses. "When I arrived, I found the cafe's design different from other cafes. I realised it's perfect for young people to experience a new space and take photos because there are many beautiful views," said Tran Quyet, a visitor that discovered the spot through TikTok. More than 20 vehicles are spread across the cafe's 200-square-metre grounds, creating an immersive industrial landscape from the personal collection of cafe owner Dang Vinh Hoa. Even the entrance features a striking installation of military vehicles and excavators. "When I came here, I felt the atmosphere was like the 70s, 80s and 90s, which gave me a lot of inspiration for taking photos," said Do Huu Tai, another customer. "The vehicles here are all old and worn, creating a vintage photo-worthy setting." The idea was born out of the owner's passion for customised cars, with a vision to create a cosy gathering spot for young people who share the same enthusiasm for automotive culture."
