SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — A convenience store in Barangay West Bajac-Bajac, Olongapo City caught fire late Sunday morning, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP). Fire Officer 2 Jayferson Liwag said in a phone interview that authorities received a report of a commercial fire at an Uncle John’s branch in Ulo ng Apo at 11:05 a.m. Firefighters immediately responded and declared the blaze under control by 11:09 a.m. “It was brief; it was just very smoky,” Liwag said, noting that the fire was brief but produced heavy smoke.
