CALAPAN CITY, ORIENTAL MINDORO — The annual population count of the critically endangered tamaraw (Bubalus mindorensis) begins Monday at Mt. Iglit-Baco Natural Park (MIBNP), with conservation teams set to hike to designated observation points across the protected area. “Orientation for participants begins on April 13, followed by the start of trekking and hiking to different vantage points on Tuesday.
