ILOILO CITY — The province of Capiz formally opened Capiztahan 2026 on Monday at its newly completed provincial capitol in Roxas City, with officials highlighting unity and resilience as festivities proceeded under a scaled-down program amid rising fuel costs. Gov. Fredenil H. Castro led the opening rites at the Pueblo de Panay grounds, where provincial, city, and municipal banners were raised alongside the Philippine flag to symbolize solidarity across the province.
