"Thousands of people gathered in Skardu, the capital of Pakistan’s Baltistan region, on Sunday for a mass rally against US-Israeli military operations against Iran, as talks between Tehran and Washington faltered. Footage shows protesters chanting in front of a stage while waving Iranian and Pakistani flags. "186 children of a primary school aged 6-8 years were killed by the US and Israeli bombing. Where are human rights?" said Agha Baqir Hussain Al-Hussaini, president of Anjuman-e-Imamia Baltistan organisation. Since the outbreak of the conflict on February 28, at least 3,375 people have been killed, according to figures published on Sunday by the Iranian Forensic Medicine Organisation. The Ministry of Education confirmed 278 students and 67 teachers were among the dead. The 21-hour talks between the United States and Iran in Islamabad ended without a deal on Sunday. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said the two sides remained divided on several key issues, preventing an agreement from being reached. Before leaving Pakistan, US Vice President JD Vance described the result as 'bad news for Iran much more than it's bad news for the US.' The talks came after Tehran and Washington agreed to a conditional two-week ceasefire, with both sides claiming a 'victory.' Under the deal, Iran agreed in principle to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, while the US and Israel paused strikes on Iranian territory."
