The competition is getting fiercer in the Miss Universe Philippines pageant as the organization has announced the delegates who will be moving forward in the pageant. In an Instagram post, the Miss Universe Philippines revealed the top 40 candidates, who were picked through a combination of online voting as well as picks by the selection committee . This was after the week of the evening gown preliminary, where delegates wore creations of Louis Pangilinan, Mark Bumgarner, Ehrran Montoya, and many more. The trim comes after the delegates participated in the swimsuit show held last month at the Aqua Boracay Bulabog Beach location. It also came after some controversy, as former Miss Universe Philippines Batangas Kath Caseñas competed as the representative for Bohol.
