Direct hit in Nahariya - Residential building damaged in northern Israel following Hezbollah rocket barrage

"A residential building in the coastal city of Nahariya took a direct hit from a Hezbollah rocket barrage on Monday. Footage shows first responders gathering at the scene, where the building stood damaged amid scattered debris. Magen David Adom (MDA) confirmed that a woman in her 60s was lightly wounded and treated for injuries caused by the blast and flying glass. Another person received care at the scene for acute anxiety. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said approximately seven rockets were fired toward the city. While air defences intercepted six of the projectiles, one struck the residential building. Hezbollah claimed responsibility for multiple attacks across northern Israel on Monday, with air raid sirens sounding more than 15 times throughout the region. Hezbollah said their forces targeted Kiryat Shmona, the Meron air surveillance base, and the headquarters of the IDF's 146th Division. This comes amid ongoing Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon, which Tel Aviv says target Hezbollah fighters and infrastructure, despite the conditional two-week ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran that came into force last Wednesday. Iran maintains that the agreement includes a cessation of attacks on Lebanon, however Israel has denied this, arguing that the Lebanese front is unconnected. The Lebanese presidency officially announced that direct talks with Israel are scheduled to begin this Tuesday at the US State Department's headquarters in Washington. The announcement came after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Thursday that he had directed his government to engage in direct talks with Lebanon 'as soon as possible'."
