Theo James spotted at unexpected store at one of Toronto's jankiest malls

When celebrities visit Toronto, they're often spotted in ritzy, trendy neighbourhoods like Yorkville and King West. Seldom do we get run-ins with VIPs at questionably janky spots like Dufferin Mall – that is, until Theo James rolled up. The White Lotus actor, who is reportedly in town filming a movie with funnyman Vince Vaughan, was recently spotted inside the shopping centre — sometimes dubbed "The Dirty D" by locals — that often gets a bad rap in the city. The 576,000-square-foot mall , which first opened near Dufferin and Bloor back in 1957, has over 120 stores, including Dollarama, LCBO, Winners and Walmart – the latter being exactly where the hunky Brit was spotted by fans who happened to be at the right place at the right time. toronto walmart, theo james is in you pic.twitter.com/HIJndKIrjb — audrey (@audreyficus2) April 13, 2026 It appears the Emmy-nominated actor was generous with his time, snapping photos with just about anyone who asked while he was shopping for what we can only assume is a stock-up on affordable undershirts and boxer briefs. According to the synopsis on IMDb, the film "follows two WWII veterans, Rivner, a Jewish man, and Boscolo, an Italian-American, as they struggle to readjust to life after returning from war, no longer fitting into their previous existences." If you haven't had the great privilege of stumbling upon this brooding Gentleman out in the wild, don't give up. Hollywood North reports the film will be in production in Toronto until May 21. Maybe next weekend the apparent mallrat will hit up Sherway Gardens for some Zara pants. You never know!
