Beachy Stout's trial for first wife’s murder pushed back to 2027

The second murder trial of businessman Everton 'Beachy Stout' McDonald has been postponed until January 27, 2027. The 72-year-old is charged with the May 2, 2009 murder of his first wife, Merlene 'Petal' McDonald, who was shot dead outside her home in Boundbrook, Portland. It is alleged that McDonald, who is currently serving a life sentence for his second wife's murder, hired a police detective to carry out the killing following the breakdown of their marriage.
