Fire breaks out at Kumeū’s mushroom manufacturer Mushborn in Auckland

A fire is burning through a shed at a mushroom farm in Auckland’s Kumeū. The owner of Mushborn said it was “just a little fire” and that “they are all okay”. Fire and Emergency NZ was called to the rural property just before 1.30pm. Four trucks, two water tankers and a commander unit were sent to the property, where the single-level shed measuring 15 x 20m was in flames. Mushborn is a mushroom grower and home grow kit specialist at 45 Tawa Rd, Kumeū. A fire and emergency spokesman told the Herald no one was trapped and there was no threat to life.
