MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) has committed to delivering 12 million more national identification cards this year. PSA Division Chief for Social Protection Use Cases Ma. Fides Wilma Marquez gave this commitment during Tuesday’s hearing of the Senate committee on social justice, welfare, and rural development. The 12 million cards would be on top of the 55 million cards that have already been delivered and the 49, 475, 605 paper-format IDs that they have issued, Marquez told the committee.
